Some programming from scratch will be required but you will mainly be modifying existing programs and setting machines to produce low to medium volume, precision stainless steel parts. Full training will be given on both Star and Tornos machine control programs if people are unfamiliar with these programs. Our clients are looking for day skilled Vessel Fabricators, Coded Fabricators Welders, Plater Welders for work in fab shops. In areas such as Thetford, Kings Lynn, March, Peterborough, Gt Yarmouth etc. WIth regard to the Coded Welders most of their work will be welding however some general fabrication/preparation experience would be an advantage. Welding to coded standards using TIG, MIG FCAW on stainless plate or heavy pipe workv and ideally able Sub Arc Weld sch 10 - 80 pipe and plate 3 - 12mm. The Plater Welders must be able to work from drawings and fabricate stainless plate on vessels - tanks, dome ends, manways, nozzles, pipe work etc. Also steel work from 3mm - 20 mm thick on angle, flat, box, rsj etc. Able to use cutting equipment, plasma, grinders etc. Mainly weld using Sub Arc, ideally with TIG an MIG FCAW on pipe an steel Pipe an Sheet to high standards fabrciating/welding vessels - tanks, pipe work, gantries, frames, stair cases, work plat forms etc. Hours 0700 - 1800 + Mon - Fri 0700 - 1530 Sat Sun Pay will be from £13.00 + per hr up to 57.5 hrs Mon - Fri via Ltd pay scheme depending on experience/skills/quals + overtime/Sat an Sun. Ensure material being delivered to those suppliers is sufficiently marked up to allow efficient processing. - Liaise with Stores to ensure sufficient stock of weld consumables is maintained and manage the preheating and storage of welding rods to minimise scrap/wastage. - Ensure manufacturing drawings in use are latest revisions. - Liaise with Workshop Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor and Operations Manager to drive business forward. - Highly self motivated ensuring that schedules are met. Our client is an established company on the outskirts of Ely. They are currently looking to recruit an Asset and Rental Engineer to join their workforce. This is a new role created by company growth. This challenging role is responsible for the provision of specialist equipment, tools and test kit in support of all service work scopes across the company's products. A key part of the role will be to implement an asset management system linked to sales orders to enhance traceability and rental rate charge outs with focus on automated systems and resulting efficiencies. Maintaining equipment operation and functionality, while ensuring certification and calibration records are maintained is also a key job function. Routinely, equipment is also sourced and hired from key suppliers with a requirement to operate with Supplier Agreements to ensure we lever the supply chain on a global basis. As a highly motivated individual, you will display a positive attitude towards meeting or exceeding customer expectations while meeting service mobilisation schedules linked to personnel resource planning. It is expected that you will operate between the office and workshop environments including managing pre and post mobilisation inspections, preparing goods for shipping in a suitable and secure manner while interfacing with the company's materials and logistics personnel on all bill of materials and shipping requirements.
