Customer Service Specialist \n\n1 year FTC\n\n£29,900 - 35,500\n\nJob purpose: Customer Service Specialist \n\nWe are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to act as the primary operational contact for customers throughout complex service and maintenance projects. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by coordinating communications, managing operational updates, and ensuring customer expectations are met from project initiation through to completion.\n\nWorking closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Commercial functions, you will help deliver successful customer outcomes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nResponsibilities: Customer Service Specialist \n\nCustomer Relationship Management\n\nAct as the primary operational point of contact for assigned customer projects.\nBuild and maintain strong day-to-day customer relationships.\nPrepare customer reports, coordinate meetings and manage routine communications.\nProvide timely updates on project progress, delivery milestones, risks and operational changes.\nEscalate commercial or contractual matters to the appropriate stakeholders.\nSupport the communication of quotations, estimates and invoicing where required.Operational Coordination\n\nCoordinate customer-facing activities throughout the service lifecycle.\nLiaise with internal teams to monitor progress and manage delivery commitments.\nCoordinate documentation, logistics and operational activities required to support customer projects.\nMonitor delays, communicate impacts and ensure customer expectations are effectively managed.Customer Issue Resolution\n\nCoordinate customer complaints, discrepancies and warranty or quality-related issues.\nSupport cross-functional investigations and resolution activities.\nTrack agreed actions through to completion while maintaining regular customer communication.Continuous Improvement\n\nDevelop effective working relationships across multiple business functions.\nIdentify recurring customer issues and improvement opportunities.\nSupport initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, operational performance and business efficiency.\nPromote collaboration, accountability and a customer-first \n\nSkills / Experience: Customer Service Specialist \n\nEssential\n\nPrevious experience in Customer Service, Customer Support, Customer Operations or Customer Account Coordination.\nExperience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.\nStrong customer communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience coordinating operational activities and resolving customer issues.\nCompetent user of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. \n\nDesirable\n\nExperience within aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) environment.\nUnderstanding of operational delivery, supply chain processes and customer fulfilment.\nAwareness of quality and regulatory requirements within a technical or manufacturing environment.

\n\nQualifications\n\nDegree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management or a related discipline is desirable.\nEquivalent industry experience will also be considered. \n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nCustomer-focused with a proactive approach.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organisational and time management abilities.\nAble to prioritise competing demands and adapt to changing priorities.\nProfessional, diplomatic and confident communicator.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nCollaborative team player who builds effective working relationships.\nSelf-motivated, resilient and accountable.\nComfortable working under pressure in a dynamic operational environment. \n\nWorking Arrangements\n\nFull-time, Monday to Friday.\nOccasional overtime may be required to support business needs.\nSome domestic and international travel may be required.\nRight to work in the UK is required.
