Project Design Engineer

The Company\n\nOur client is a specialist Engineering company. Due to an exciting period of expansion and investment they now have a new position for a Project Design Engineer.\n\nThe Role\n\n * The role is central within the engineering function of the company.\n\n * A combination of technical knowledge and project coordination.\n\n * To work on designing and development of products along with leading a small team.\n\n * Provide technical support to the team and all areas of the business.\n\n * Provide a range of engineering and design solutions for the business.\n\n * Provide hands on design expertise.\n\n * Customer liaison, working closely with their project teams.\n\n * Creation of new 3D designs and detail drawings.\n\n * Specify materials and create BOM’s.\n\n * Perform a range of hand calculations.\n\nThe Person\n\n * A background in mechanical design is essential preferably.\n\n * Project engineering experience.\n\n * Lead/supervisory experience.\n\n * Ideally you will be degree qualified.\n\n * You will have experience of working with cross functional teams.\n\n * You must have 3D design experience preferably with Inventor.\n\n * Must be able to perform hand calculations.\n\nThe Benefits\n\n * You will be working for a well-established growing employer.\n\n * An excellent salary.\n\n * Working day shift.\n\n * Hybrid working two days per week.\n\n * A company experiencing continued growth, expansion and investment.\n\n * The company are fully compliant with the latest health and safety requirements for current safe working practices
