Site Manager | £25m Hotel Refurbishment | Nr Windsor\n\n Freelance | 16 months | Starts July 2026\n\nI'm looking for Site Managers for a major £25m hotel refurbishment near Windsor.\n\n The project includes guest bedrooms, corridors, reception areas, restaurants, bars, front-of-house spaces, back-of-house areas and listed building elements.\n\n The hotel stays open. The standards stay high.\n\n And apparently "that'll do" isn't considered a quality control process.\n\n Reporting to a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for driving your section of works, managing subcontractors and delivering finishes that are expected in a high-end hospitality environment.\n\n Which sounds straightforward until you're explaining to a dryliner why "nearly straight" isn't actually straight, a decorator why "you won't notice it once the furniture is in" isn't an acceptable solution, and a joiner why the client has somehow spotted a 2mm gap from the other side of the room.\n\n You'll need:\n• Refurbishment experience\n• Strong subcontractor management skills\n• Experience working in live environments\n• A genuine eye for detail\n• The ability to maintain standards when everyone else wants to move on\n\n This is a quality-driven project for a quality-driven contractor.\n\n If you're the sort of Site Manager who notices things before the client does, I'd like to hear from you.\n\n Spencer Wade\n\n (phone number removed)\n\n spencer@ borneltd. com
